Millewa Pumping were employed by NSW Fisheries to design and implement an aeration system that would aerate a 30km stretch of the Darling river.
Objectives:
To provide a refuge for oxygen deprived Murray Cod.

1 x 12 inch pump
4 x Aerators
3 x 22 KVA generators
1 x 14000L fuel tank
1 x 5000L fuel tank
2 x 1000L fuel tanks
1 x 1800L fuel tank
36 m of 26 inch suction line
300m of 28 inch delivery line
18m of 12 inch suction line
50m of 12 inch delivery line
Project Outcomes:
The project was hugely successful in providing a refuge for stressed Murray Cod and was the initiative was instrumental in rejuvenating the health of the Darling River.
This project without a doubt saved the lives of hundreds
of Murray Cod.
